15th Dec - the back wall of the house has been taken down completely and excavations at the upper terrace level started. A tentative restart after being clobbered by two weeks of snow and ice, but more may be on the way.

23rd Nov - new retaining wall to hold back the broken scree slope. This wall is about 90cm thick at its base and tapers as it goes up.
