New project - Cairngorm National Park

We recently presented initial designs to our clients for a substantial new extension and alterations project to a cottage in the Cairngorm National Park. The proposals include the demolition of a poor quality two-storey extension, to be replaced by a folded zinc and timber addition (left). A separate garage and workshop building is also proposed as part of the project (right).

We now look forward to developing the proposals further, with a Planning submission hopefully sometime in the winter.

New project commission

We were up in the forest village of Nethy Bridge recently to survey a house for a newly commissioned project. Our brief is for a substantial extension and alteration to an existing cottage, including new garages and workshop space. We look forward to developing initial designs with the clients into the autumn.

Funding Awarded

We are delighted for the people of Camuscross and Duisdale on the Isle of Skye, as they have now received confirmation of their £712,000 funding pot from Coastal Communities Fund. This is the last piece of the puzzle that will now allow this special building to slowly start appearing out of what is currently only an innocuous area of boggy land.

Planning applications approved

We are delighted to reveal that our designs for a new house and refurbished steading on the shores of Loch Tummel have been granted Planning approval by Perth & Kinross Council. The council were highly supportive of the application to replace a rather tired and unspectacular farmhouse with an exceptional new home. We now look forward to progressing the scheme through technical design over the coming months.
