Extensions & Alterations

Planning Granted - Elie Beach House

We are thrilled that our project to transform a B-Listed beach house in Elie has recently been granted Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent. The project will see a pair of highly contemporary, copper and glass extensions added, as well as significant rationalisation of the interior, to create dining, living and kitchen spaces that luxuriate in the site's beach-front location. We look forward to developing technical designs over the coming months.

New project in Edinburgh

Although perhaps a rare pleasure for us these days, we have recently been enjoying working on a new project to alterations an existing house in central Edinburgh. The brief is to transform the kitchen and dining spaces of this Victorian townhouse by opening up the rear walls of the building to the garden, and also forming a secret study space above the new kitchen.

New project - Cairngorm National Park

We recently presented initial designs to our clients for a substantial new extension and alterations project to a cottage in the Cairngorm National Park. The proposals include the demolition of a poor quality two-storey extension, to be replaced by a folded zinc and timber addition (left). A separate garage and workshop building is also proposed as part of the project (right).

We now look forward to developing the proposals further, with a Planning submission hopefully sometime in the winter.
