Landscape House

Prototype

We are always interested in new housing typologies for rural Scottish architecture and so have developed designs for a modular 'prototype' house, which would provide a low-impact method of locating dwellings and holiday homes in remote areas. Touching the ground lightly, the designs are based around a mostly off-site, pre-fabricated construction, reducing the risk of wild and inclement Scottish weather and providing a form which by nature of its scattered mass, provides living spaces that feel a real part of their surroundings. The small modular boxes which form the structural support for the building house kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and stove snug and are designed with the pleasure of the micro spaces of boats in mind: a place for everything and everything in its place.

If you have a site you would like to explore with use of the Landscape House designs get in touch.
